A CNC Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing computer numerical control (CNC) machinery and systems for precision manufacturing. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, CNC programming, and machine operation.
Job Description:
- Design, plan, and develop manufacturing processes by analyzing detailed drawings and product specifications.
- Perform CAD/CAM design and programming for CNC milling and CNC turning machines.
- Design and implement hydraulic clamping fixture systems for mass production.
- Prepare and issue work instructions.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to define quality requirements for external suppliers.
- Provide technical support to the production department.
- Support detailed part design; monitor the fabrication, assembly, and trial runs of tools (cutting tools, fixtures) used in production and inspection equipment.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of G-code and the ability to read and understand it.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD/CAM software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and simulation in Cimco Edit.
- Proactive, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
